Review:

The delightful cuddly panda with supreme martial arts skills, Po (Jack Black – Kung fu Panda), has reached his next great challenge. He must pass the mantle to the next Dragon Warrior, and become the spiritual leader of the Valley of Peace. Just two small problems: Po loves being a Dragon Warrior, and he doesn’t have a clue how to lead…

However, before he can figure out his new responsibility, he’s about to face his greatest opponent yet – all of them! A new warrior has arisen, aiming to become the most powerful criminal boss the world has ever seen. The Chameleon (Viola Davis – Suicide Squad), can change their shape and kung fu style to any of the greatest criminals that Po has ever faced. Even with the help of a local thief from the Chameleon’s village, a fox named Zhen (Awkwafina – Raya and the Last Dragon), how can he possibly hope to win?

This film sees Jack Black reprise the titular role. Bryan Cranston, Dustin Hoffman and James Hong also return as his guardians – biological father, martial arts master, and adoptive father. Jack Black injects his usual energy and comic timing to get big belly laughs from the giant panda. Awkwafina was a charming choice to partner Black, and wisecracks and gags abound in this action-buddy-comedy addition to the franchise.
