Game of Thrones star Kit Harington plays the slave turned gladiator, Milo, in Paul W S Anderson’s (writer and director of the Resident Evil films) adaptation of the fate of Pompeii. Enslaved by the Romans as a young child, Milo is forced to fight for his life in the arena. Proving himself to be a skilled warrior, he is brought to Pompeii to compete for the entertainment of the visiting Senator Corvus (Kiefer Sutherland). There he meets Cassia (Emily Browning), the daughter of a wealthy family, and the two fall for each other. But their relationship is endangered by both Corvus’s desire for Cassia and the catastrophe that is about to unfold.
With an abundance of fantastically choreographed fight scenes, togas and CGI lava, Pompeii will keep you on the edge of your seat right until the very end.Jess Walker
