Review:

A young woman, Lucy (Scarlett Johansson), is caught up in a dark deal that results in her being captured and used as a mule for a new synthetic drug. But when the bag bursts in her stomach, she undergoes incredible changes and uses her new abilities to take revenge on her captors, receiving help from Professor Norman (Morgan Freeman) and French Police Chief Pierre Del Rio (Amr Waked) along the way.

Lucy is fast-paced and fun, wild and full of mayhem, visually spectacular, managing to supply both an original tale and some interesting philosophical concepts along the way. There is plenty of action and intelligence, superb direction by Luc Besson, beautiful cinematography and the acting is brilliant, with yet another stellar performance from Johansson. It’s an excellent piece of sci-fi, and whether you’re a fan of the genre or not, you will love this film.
