Knock Knock
When Evan Webber (Keanu Reeves), a devoted husband and father, is left home alone for the weekend, two stranded young women (Lorenza Izzo and Ana de Armas) unexpectedly knock on his door, asking for help. What initially starts out as a kind gesture and a chance for a married man to indulge in some of his hidden passions results in a dangerous seduction and a deadly game of cat and mouse. Webber finds that his dark fantasy becomes his worst nightmare as he battles against the pair of psychopaths for his life in this classy home invasion thriller. This latest film from modern-day horror maestro Eli Roth is a gripping and sexy thriller, a Fatal Attraction for the social media generation. It is great fun and heavily violent, rooted in excellent performances from Keanu Reeves and the two female leads, who generate such madness and insanity that you will be genuinely chilled. The film is dark, and if you’re a fan of torture porn, this movie will suit you to the ground, but it is balanced out by a good deal of humour that will appeal to the mainstream audience too. Knock Knock is a consistently entertaining film, a horror that will make you think as well as chill you, and I'd definitely recommend it.
