Tehran Taxi
Having been banned from making films by the Iranian government, Panahi poses as a taxi driver and films his experiences. This leads to the film being very documentary-like as Panahi records the social challenges in Iran.
The film also shows the customers who Panahi picks up on his journey through the bustling capital and records all their discussions and even confessions to the fake taxi driver. The film is shot almost entirely in the taxi and has been referred to as an Iranian road tip film. Critics have also comments that what is striking in the film is its laid back and almost comedic approach.
This film follows suit from Panahi’s two previous films and is definitely worth a watch if you feel uni work is becoming too much!
