Review:

Mission: Impossible is back, and better than ever, in Fallout, an outstanding film that is sure to leave you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

After a crucial mission goes haywire, Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) is tasked with stopping plutonium from falling into the hands of the Apostles, a global terrorist group hell-bent on destruction. However, a CIA agent sceptical of Hunt’s methods (Henry Cavill, Man of Steel) is tasked with monitoring him, and threatens to derail the mission.

Ving Rhames and Simon Pegg reprise their roles as Hunt’s Impossible Mission Force (IMF) teammates Luther and Benji, who provide some comic relief but also help give the film a greater emotional depth. There is more backstory than usual in Fallout, and the film is all the stronger for it, with a great exploration of Hunt’s humanity and vulnerability. However, despite being the sixth instalment in the series,Falloutcan still be fully enjoyed without having seen any previous Mission: Impossible films.

Fallout, with its mind-bending plot, jaw-dropping action sequences, and delightful mask rips, has the makings of a modern spy classic, and is also just incredibly fun — it’s not hard to see why it is so highly rated by both critics and audiences. So, make sure you catch it — you’ll be in for a treat!

Oh, and one more thing: this review will self-destruct in five seconds…
