Review:

Imagine this: Clarence (Slater) falls for Alabama (Arquette) after one night together; the next day they get married... and who said romance was dead! but the parh of true love never did run smooth as Clarence and Alabama are about to discover!

True Romance contains a great number of cameos from many first division actors and it's these that really make the film - Gary Oldman, Brad Pitt, Dennis Hopper, etc., playing minor characters so well written and well fleshed out - that although they may be plot diversions, they are little gems that improve the movie no end!

If this glowing review doesn't impress on you the fact that you must experience this film; there are more reasons which must be mentioned. Firstly:- the brilliant soundtrack to the movie; easily the best in 1993, and secondly:- the phone booth scene! Those of you who have seen the film will know what I'm talking about!

Empire magazine called it "the hippest movie of the year", but don't just believe them; believe me! It's brilliant, so go and see it! (I think he quite liked it... - Ed).

John Russell.
