Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets

In the 28th century, Alpha is a shining beacon – a thriving city floating among the stars, where a thousand different cultures live side-by-side peacefully, as they have done for centuries. But now something is threatening the planet, and maybe even the universe itself… Agents Valerian (Dane DeHaan) and Lauraline (Cara Delevingne) are special operatives given just 10 hours to find and eliminate the threat!

If you’re unfamiliar with the name of the director, Luc Besson, you’re no doubt familiar with his work; Leon, La Femme Nikita, and The Fifth Element are all his. Besson brings his unique vision, choreography, sense of humour, and aesthetics to his latest adventure, based on a series of popular French graphic novels.

Dane DeHaan, by now well-known to film fans through Chronicle, The Amazing Spiderman and a Cure for Wellness, has nice chemistry with Cara Delevingne (Suicide Squad, Paper Towns). Aesthetic that could be a part of the Fifth Element universe, and a cameo by Rutger Hauer, are sure to be appreciated by sci-fi fans.
