Review:

The director of Backdraft brings yet another outstanding story to the silver screen.

Based on the true story of the ill-fated 13th Apollo mission bound for the moon. Astronauts Lovell, Haise and Swigert were scheduled to fly Apollo 14, but are moved up to 13. It's 1970, and America have already achieved their lunar landing goal, so there's little interest in this "routine" flight.. until that is, things go very wrong, and prospects of a safe return fade.

Even though we all know that the crew returned to Earth safely, this film doesn't fail to bring you to the edge of your seat, biting your nails, praying for a safe journey for the crew! The stars of this film perform brilliantly - considering the methods of filming this was quite a feat. Tom Hanks works well with Gary Sinise, previously brought together in Forrest Gump their team work shows through in the crisis moments of this film. The special effects in this film are outstanding, using some of the current architecture of Kennedy Space Center, only helps with the authenticity of this amazing adventure.

Not to be missed.
