The plasticine stars are plunged into a hilarious tale of skulduggery involving an extraordinary pair of automated trousers and….a villainous penguin.

After the success of the BAFTA award-winning and Oscar-nominated 'A Grand Day Out' Nick Park heralded the return of Wallace and Gromit in 1993 with 'The Wrong Trousers'. For those unfamiliar with this film, Wallace, the laziest inventor since the man who invented the robotic vacuum cleaner, has invented a machine that will get him out of bed, dress him and make his breakfast! (I want one!!). It being Gromit's birthday Wallace has acquired a pair of automated Techno-Trousers from NASA…as you do, and whilst Gromit is being dragged around by this wonderful present, Wallace decides to get a lodger. The arrival of Feathers McGraw, a penguin, as the new lodger begins a story involving the mild-mannered Wallace as an unwitting accomplice to a diamond heist in a fast-moving comedy thriller of positively Hitchcockian proportions.

We can't recommend this short film more highly, it's a classic Christmas film and the current plans for the social after will make it a night worth attending! We will be having a fancy dress competition after the film and then moving on to the union.

Hope to see as many of you all there as possible!!!
