My Own Private Idaho
This road will never end. It probably goes all around the world
Starring two of the 90s biggest teen heartthrobs, River Phoenix and Keanu Reeves, My Own Private Idaho is a drama movie following a search of belonging. Mike (River Phoenix) is a gay hustler, who also suffers from narcolepsy episodes, travelling from Oregon to Idaho (and then to Italy) in search for his mother. He is joined by his best friend, Scott (Keanu Reeves), who is rebelling against his privileged life of being the mayor’s son. Inspired by Shakespeare’s Henry IV & Henry V, My Own Private Idaho is a strong story of self-discovery and a 1991 classic in need of being experienced on the big screen again.
