Review:

“You Don’t Mess with a Zohan” is a movie about an “average military man” (sense the sarcasm!). Adam Sandler plays an elite Mossad agent who is fed up of combat and fakes his death. He goes all the way to New York to fulfil his dream of becoming a hair-dresser!! There is an onslaught of hilarious sexual innuendo with Zohan providing “after hair cut” services “in the back” of the saloon! There is a parade of guest stars doing cameos (look out for Rob Schnieder). The film continues to make you jump in your seats with Sandler’s funny antics as Schneider rallies the Arabs against Zohan and Zohan brings in some Super Sandler “Stunts”!

The plot of the movie revolves around Zohan who comes into a neighbourhood flooded with Arabs and Palestinians, which will make way for the villainous plans of an urban developer (Michael Buffer). With both the groups rallying against each other throughout the movie, the question is whether the Arabs and Palestinians will unite to save their community. There are times in the film when you can fail to recognise the comic sense but the movie is definitely very enjoyable. It is obviously a must-watch for all die-hard Adam Sandler fans and accompanying a die-hard Sandler fan to the movie would not be a bad idea! With all the drama, action, a tinge of romance and comedy it would definitely be wise to invest in tickets for this film!
