Titanic

Rose DeWitt Bukater (Winslet) and Jack Dawson (DiCaprio) are two passengers from very different walks of life. She’s a high-society girl, suffocated by both her fiancé (Zane) and her Mother. He’s a travelling artist who won his ticket in a poker game. A chance (and rather dramatic) encounter sparks an unlikely companionship between the two of them and a beautiful romance inevitably follows. As their two worlds collide we witness both the stiffness of life in first class and the charming liberation of the lower decks. Rose and Jack’s story would make for a great film in itself, but when iceberg meets ship the drama reaches a new level. Class divides become a matter of life and death, and people’s true natures, good and bad, are revealed...

With 11 Oscars under its belt, Titanic is a film which is always worth a watch, whether or not you’ve seen it 5 times before.
