Review:

Only a few humans remain on Earth after most of mankind has succumbed to a virus that turns people into zombies hungry for human flesh. We follow the life of one of the survivors, Columbus (Eisenberg), a student trying to get back home where he hopes his parents have not joined the ravenous horde. On his journey he encounters Tallahassee (Harrelson), a man out to kill as many zombies as he can and find the world’s last Twinkie, and the cunning sisters Wichita (Stone) and Little Rock (Breslin). Together they must face this apocalyptic world and find a place that they can live without fear of being eaten. Could Pacific Playland be such a place of refuge?

Eisenberg delivers a great performance as the nervous and phobia-ridden Columbus and Harrelson’s Twinkie-obsessed cowboy is equally funny. Stone and Breslin show us that it’s not just guys that can kick zombie ass! As important as the great cast is the fact that Zombieland is a hilarious film from start to finish. Columbus’ rules to survive the outbreak and the great cameo by a certain A-lister are just a couple of this film’s comedy highlights. It goes highly recommended for anyone looking for a fresh and comical look at the zombie genre. Some of the zombie kills alone are worth the watch!
