Review:

Whenever an all-star cast such as Bruce Willis, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt get together to make a film, you know that the results are likely to be good. Looper is no exception to this rule. Directed by Rian Johnson, famous for his multi-award winning thriller film Brick, Looper loses none of the qualities Johnson brought to his earlier work.

In short, the film consists of futuristic gangs who use time travel to dispose of people in the past. Levitt plays Joe, a looper, whose job it is to kill the hapless victims as they arrive in the past. Afforded luxuries few can dream of, his perfect world is ripped apart as he is forced to kill his future self, sent back to die.

The film simultaneously deals with the ideas of time travel and its paradoxes, the fine line between good and evil and the power that a single decision can make on the world. Looper is one of those rare breed of films which both appeals to the Die Hard school of action films and the thought provoking Inception. This is truly a must see for any fan of Levitt, Willis and Blunt or anyone who enjoys great cinema.
