Review:

MI6 is under attack. This blow comes after Bond fails his mission to retrieve a stolen file containing the secret identity of many agents. With her authority contested by the new chairman of the Intelligence and Security Committee, Gareth Mallory (Ralph Fiennes), M (Judi Dench) is confronted with a double threat, both internal and external. Moreover she has to face an old friend from her past who comes back to haunt her. At least she can rely on her trustful agent 007. With the help of Eve (Naomie Harris), a field agent, Bond tracks the mysterious yet sinister Silva (Javier Bardem).

Sam Mendes triumphantly provides an amazingly gripping twenty-third episode of the adventures of the 007 agent. The episode is full of traditional action scenes, as fans of the genre like it. The audience can enjoy breath-taking chase scenes in multiple locations: Macau, Istanbul and even in the London underground! Mendes assimilates modernity and respect for the traditional Bond movies to give an original edition of the classic.

Craig seems to benefit from a third stab as Bond that puts all the elements, old and new, in perfect place. The character of Judi Dench is more poignant whereas the eerie villain interpreted by Bardem intrigues the audience with his uncanny performance. Although the James Bond girls here act only as accessories, Harris introduces an attractive and interesting character. Skyfall is the perfect celebration of the 50th anniversary of James Bond and is a definite must see!!
