Review:

The Lone Ranger is an action packed Western Adventure movie, which tells the story of the origin of the well-known and iconic fictional American vigilante, the Lone Ranger. After the tragic loss of his brother, ex-Texas ranger John Reid (Armie Hammer) is befriended by a Native American warrior named Tonto (Johnny Depp), who accompanies him in his resulting quest for justice. The two companions are led on a perilous treasure-hunt across the American West to find and bring justice to the ruthless and murderous Butch Cavendish (William Fichtner), and on the way uncover a sinister plot to gain control of the West.

As usual, Depp steals the show, this time in the guise of a face-painted, quirky and “lunatic” Native American warrior. The unusual couple have some hilarious chemistry, and a strong supporting performance is also given by Silver, their white stallion.

The well loved catch-phrases, trademark silver bullets and theme music of other Lone-Ranger tales are well preserved, and action, humour and adventure are added to make a thrilling watch. Written and directed by the team who brought you Pirates of the Caribbean, this promises to be another exciting tale with a captivating story line, stunning visuals and some hilarious one-liners. The Lone Ranger is a highly entertaining film with some great action scenes, which I would recommend to anyone who requires a good dose of laughter!
