Review:

When Carl Caspar (Jon Favreau) loses his job as a chef at a popular LA restaurant after an altercation with a food critic. Feeling creatively stifled and unfulfilled, he questions why he became a chef in the first place. His ex-wife unusually suggests that Carl reclaims control of his creative instincts by setting up a food truck and cooking the food that he wants to cook, not what he’s forced to by a restaurant manager.

Starting his career and life anew, Carl has the chance to improve his relationship with his estranged family. So with his young son Percy and old colleague Martin (John Leguizamo), he sets off on a culinary road trip across America in his renovated old food truck and discovers what cooking and family really mean to him along the way.

Full of laughs and insight into the perils of an unfulfilling career, Chef is a delicious mix of a great cast, a brilliant screenplay and fabulous food.
