'71
Review:
Set in Belfast during the Irish Troubles, ‘71 tells the story of a young British soldier who accidently gets left behind by his unit after a riot on the streets of Belfast in 1971.
At the height of The Troubles, the streets of Belfast are far from safe, particularly for a member of the British Army like Gary Hook (Jack O’Donnell). He is forced to spend the night out on the streets, alone and unable to tell who he should trust and who he shouldn’t.
With fast-paced action and a startlingly accurate recreation of 70s Belfast, ‘71 is simply thrilling.
