Review:
The latest western drama sees Hilary Swank take on the role of Mary Bee Cuddy, a devoutly religious and strong willed frontier farm woman. She is given the task of taking three women across country who have been driven mad by life on the frontier. After saving the life of claim-jumper and low-life George Briggs (Tommy Lee Jones), she enlists his help in her endeavour. Their journey changes them all irrevocably.
A bold dramatic piece by Tommy Lee Jones who both directed and co-wrote the screenplay, The Homesman is brilliantly cast and full of sharp insight and moving moments.
