The Theory of Everything

An excellent biopic of the infamous Stephen Hawking, from his time at Cambridge working on his PhD essentially through to present day. Based on the book of the same name written by his first wife, the film focuses less on the academic work and more on Hawking’s first love and his struggles with motor neurone disease. Directed by James Marsh, and starring Eddie Redmayne (Les Miserables), this film doesn’t have the big name cast of some blockbusters, but it certainly pulls punches with the best of them.
