Vengeance hits home
Following the events of Fast and Furious 6, Furious 7 starts with Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) promising to avenge his hospitalised brother, put there by Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew. After Shaw kills Han in Tokyo and blows up Toretto's house in LA, Toretto realises he must take the fight to Shaw. But first he and his crew must help track down 'The God's Eye' to help locate Shaw, a search which takes them from London to Abu Dhabi to Azerbaijan and finally back to LA. Shaw however crashes the party, appearing everywhere the team go bringing chaos with him. Back on the streets they know best and alongside supporting cast members Nathalie Emmanuel and Dwayne Johnson, Toretto's gang must take down Shaw and his friends once and for all.
Once again the makers of the Fast and Furious films have gone one bigger and one better. Furious 7 is explosive right from the off with even the first scene, a hospital visit, full of action. There is an incredible mix of people fighting, cars fighting, people chasing each other, cars chasing each other, people jumping off things, cars jumping off things and the film's CGI must be commended for making some of the action so breathtaking.
It is hard to be excited for this film without having the memory of Paul Walker's untimely death on your mind. Despite this film being very Dominic Toretto centred, Furious 7 does great justice to Walker and the final few scenes are an especially touching memorial to a man who was integral to the success of the franchise.
