Review:

In this sequel to the 2012 global phenomenon Avengers Assemble, Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye) reunite to face their greatest threat yet. When Iron Man jumpstarts a dormant peacekeeping program to protect the world (led by Ultron, an artifical intelligence), things go horribly wrong when Ultron decides that the best solution to protecting the Earth involves eradicating the human race. With help from Nick Fury and Maria Hill, only the Avengers can stop Ultron before he enacts his terrible plans. Along the way, the Avengers will face the superpowered twins Pietro and Wanda Maximoff, and encounter an old friend in a new form: Vision. With tensions mounting amongst the various heroes, the Avengers will experience their most epic and dangerous mission yet.

Like previous Marvel movies, this film is full to the brim with stunning visual effects and exciting action sequences, including a heart-pumping showdown between Hulk and Iron Man in his Hulkbuster armor. This film also raises the stakes emotionally, with the relationships between these interesting characters developing in unexpected ways, such as a potential romance between Hulk and Black Widow. By contrast, tensions between Iron Man and Captain America will rise further, setting the stage for Captain America: Civil War. This brilliant writing is strengthened by strong performances from the entire cast, with James Spader in particular giving a scene-stealing performance as the terrifying Ultron.

If you’re a fan of superhero movies, exciting action sequences or just having a good time, “Avengers: Age of Ultron” is the must-see film of the summer.
