Fantastic Four

Reed Richards (Teller) is a gifted (one could even say fantastic...) young scientist, developing an inter-dimensional teleportation device, only hoping his work can make a difference. He joins the Baxter Institute development lab and works beside Susan Storm (Mara) and Victor von Doom (Kebbell) to help complete the lab's "Quantum Gate", designed by Victor. After proving successful, they are joined by Reed's childhood friend Ben Grimm (Bell) and Susan's reckless brother, Johnny Storm (Jordan) to explore a parallel dimension, "Planet Zero". After tragedy on the surface, resulting in the loss of Victor, the team escape back to the shuttle, returning to earth. However upon return, the device explodes, giving Reed, Susan, Johnny and Ben extraordinary super-human powers. When the Quantum Gate is used once more, a now-powerful, self-dubbed "Doom", is waiting, and has plans for the Earth... Fantastic 4 is an exciting and once again humour-filled retelling of the comic series which really brought Marvel to the limelight. It sports superb special effects and action sequences, an engaging plot and a fantastic (pun intended) cast of up-and-coming actors, who do justice to the legacy of the comic.
