The Big Short

Review:

Based on a shocking true account of the economic crisis of the mid-2000s, The Big Short is a brilliant comedy-drama following the lives of four businessmen who predict a collapse in the US housing market and attempt to prevent it but with devastating consequences that will keep you riveted to your seat.

You don’t have to be an Economist to understand what is going on and enjoy the film. The Big Short is informative, without being boring and even if you have zero knowledge of economics (much like myself), the concepts and events are clearly explained. There’s also a bit of comedy thrown in to lighten the mood!

With an outstanding cast of Christian Bale, Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt, the witty dialogue combined with the powerful, thought-provoking message make this an award-winning film that no one should miss!
