Review:

Sing Street is a 2016 Irish musical comedy-drama film written, produced and directed by John Carney. Coming from a broken home with a drunken father and a failing marriage, Conor (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) is forced to move to a state school in Dublin. His hard economical situations lead to him being bullied excessively in his new school. Eventually Conor meets the beautiful Raphina (Lucy Boynton) and tells her that he needs a model for a music video he is making. This desperate act to impress the lovely girl leads to him forming a band with his elder brother Brendan and multi instrumentalist Eamon (Mark McKenna). The rest of the narrative follows the growth of the band and the strengthening bond between the two brothers.
