The original manga film ‘Ghost in the Shell’ was one of the most innovative and thought-provoking of the genre. Though this film was based on the Japanese manga of the same name, it keeps true to the look, and in many ways, the feel of the original film.
The world is beyond stunning, and of course, the action is made to match. From diving backwards off buildings to hand-to-hand combat between augmented humans and robots, it’s incredibly slick and almost too fast to register. However, it’s not just the action that is magnificent. Everywhere you look you see an incredible amount of thought has gone into all the little details of this futuristic world – how do they dress? Eat? Get maintenance on their cybernetics? How will advertising look? Or even traffic signals? From start to finish, you’ll be unable to look away...
