Review:

Charlize Theron stars as Lorraine Broughton, an MI6 spy in the midst of Berlin in 1989. Searching for a stolen list of agents and the identity of a double agent called Satchel, she teams up with James McAvoy’s MI6 agent Percival, in a game of changing loyalties, espionage and danger.

Anyone who enjoyed John Wick will love this movie as the action sequences are of the same amazing quality (which is no surprise, since David Leitch directed both Wick movies and Atomic Blonde) and the intense work that Theron put into it is evident. She’s stellar in both dramatic scenes and action and is supported by already-proven co-stars like John Goodman, Toby Jones and Sofia Boutella.

Atomic Blonde has plenty of unexpected moments and, despite being a close cousin of John Wick, is one of the summer’s most refreshing flicks, with a female lead that seriously kicks ass! We may not be getting a Jane Bond, but Atomic Blonde hits all the right action notes (and even includes a “Bond girl” relationship for Lorraine!)

Fans of Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road), action films and anyone interested in David Leitch’s upcoming Deadpool 2 (because seriously, who isn’t?) should see this!
