Review:

You wake up in a room, shackle around your neck, surrounded by strangers all in the same predicament. You hear a TV crackle into life, and a raspy voice tells you they want to play a game. Saws start rotating in the walls across from you, as you notice a chain that’s being slowly retracted, pulling you into them. You realise that this must be the work of the notorious serial killer Jigsaw, but this is just the beginning of your nightmare…

In a similar vein to Saw V, there’s a connection between all the victims being slowly uncovered by each ‘game’ - piece by piece, you might say… Though Jigsaw is a faithful addition to the original films; it isn’t just re-treading old ground. In a bizarre twist, all the evidence – fingerprints, blood, DNA - suggests that the murders were by Jigsaw himself… While amongst the living, the most likely suspects are those investigating the killings… The film is played a bit more for laughs, though delivers all the horror you expect. There’s even a new ‘game’ that’s a cross between a motorbike and an over-sized blender. What more could you ask for?
