Review:

Following the death of Superman, violence and terrorism are rapidly rising across the globe. Without a symbol for hope and faith in the best of humanity, the world is descending into darkness and despair… Batman's been doing his best, but he can’t hold back the tide - the world needs heroes! And so, he asks Wonder Woman for help assembling a team of people with special powers to save the world - The Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg. Though most of these have never used their abilities in a team before, let alone fighting minions of the latest madman trying to destroy the world…

The highlight of this film is by far, Wonder Woman. From her recent eponymously titled film, Wonder Woman was re-imagined for a new generation, and became a powerful and inspiring role model. Every second that Gal Gadot’s on the screen is a delight. All the cast work well together and ‘The Flash’ (Ezra Miller) was well-chosen to play the nerdy and socially awkward comic relief.

Though the story is a simple one, it’s well-told. This is a fun romp, balancing drama and action, interspersed with some spectacular action scenes. It’s an entertaining adventure and well worth a watch…
