Incredibles 2

Incredibles 2 sees the return of everybody’s favourite superhero family in an inspired sequel that proves to have been well worth the fourteen year wait.

Unlike the original, Incredibles 2 sees Helen in the spotlight as Elastigirl when she’s given a mission by Winston Deavor (voiced by Bob Odenkirk), a rich superhero fan intent on improving the public image of supers.

Meanwhile, Bob is left at home to take care of the kids. However, Mr Incredible soon finds juggling home life and the demands of his children to be tougher than fighting supervillains, particularly as the scale of Jack-Jack’s powers become apparent.

Incredibles 2 manages to live up to the brilliance of the first film without relying too much on it, with a great story that explores new themes and which allows us to see different sides to all of the characters. The film also brings back fan favourites like Frozone and Edna Mode who help make the sequel as fun as the original, while introducing a formidable foe in the form of the Screenslaver, in what could be the Parrs’ biggest challenge yet. All in all, Incredibles 2 is a terrific film that should definitely not be missed!
