Christopher Robin
Sooner or later, your past catches up to you.
After boarding school, fighting in World War II, getting married, starting a family and now working as an efficiency manager for a high-end luggage company, Hundred Acre Wood seems a hundred years ago for Christopher Robin (Ewan Gregor – Star Wars, Moulin Rouge)…
Not only does he have to work on the weekend again, but this time he has to miss out on his own family holiday; much to the consternation of his wife and daughter. If he can’t find some way to cut costs, jobs will have to be cut instead. Just when he is feeling completely lost, he hears a familiar voice… Why? It’s none other than his childhood friend, Winnie the Pooh – wanting him to join one more adventure! By helping Poo find Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Owl, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo, Christopher Robin might just find something even more important…
The visuals in this film are just wonderful, and Winnie the Pooh looks almost un-bear-ably sweet. There’s fantastic chemistry between Ewan McGregor and Pooh, and Pooh’s naivete and mispronunciations lead to some really amusing yet adorable moments. For those that enjoyed the A.A. Milne books when they were young, this is nostalgia as sweet as hunny…
