Review:

Arthur Curry a.k.a. Aquaman (Jason Momoa – Game of Thrones, Justice League) has been special since birth; a bridge between the land and seas, destined to unite the two worlds. Dragged onto a quest by Atlantian Mera (Amber Heard – Justice League), he is lead through the desert to a long-buried temple of his people. There they discover a message from the past, a secret tunnel and instructions how to find a lost trident of unimaginable power…

However, finding it is a race against time, since Aquaman is not the only one seeks it. The current King of Atlantis has a different purpose in mind – waging war on all those who live on land. The only way to save everyone is for Aquaman to fight Orm (Patrick Wilson – Insidious) for the throne and take his rightful place as king of Atlantis…

The visuals are absolutely stunning, especially the underwater city, and the desperate rooftop chases (on land). Jason Momoa is up to his usual standards for action scenes, and the sense of humour is very much in keeping with Wonder Woman and Justice League. With a splash of cameos – Willem Dafoe (The Grand Budapest Hotel, Spiderman), Nicole Kidman (Paddington, Big Little Lies), and Dolph Lundgren (Expendables) - this is a highly entertaining, fun-filled romp.
