Fahrenheit 11/9
Tyrant. Liar. Racist. A Hole in One.
No doubt after Brexit, President Trump is the biggest political story of your time. In Michael Moore’s own words – How the f@%# did this happen?
From the (in)famous interrogator of American culture and hypocrisy, director of Bowling for Columbine, Sicko, and Fahrenheit 9/11, comes his latest, and arguably greatest, exposé. Moore delves to the very bottom of current politics in the US: how Donald Trump got to power, the cultivation of an atmosphere of mistrust and hate, the blind fervour of some of his most zealous supporters, and their readiness for violence should Trump ever be impeached.
While certainly not a light-hearted topic, Moore makes this as engaging as any of his previous documentaries. Though an extremely unsettling and occasionally horrifying view on contemporary America, this does at least demonstrate the potential and power of grass roots political movements, and that there is at least the potential for change.
