Emma.
Love knows best.
In this stunning, colourful and lively 2020 adaptation of Jane Austen’s regency-era classic, Emma, Autumn De Wilde makes an incredible directorial debut.
In this period tale of love and friendship, titular heroine Emma (played by Anya Taylor-Joy of Split and The Witch fame) plays matchmaker to the village. However, though holding good intentions, Emma’s upbringing and wild imagination hinders her ability to accurately read the underlying intentions of others, and judge what may be best for her friends. Consequently, Emma weaves her friends and acquaintances into an entanglement of misunderstanding rather than romance. Yet, it seems romance may be on the cards in the end…. Emma sees a star-studded cast of British talent, including Johnny Flynn, Miranda Hart, Rupert Graves and Bill Nighy, bring Austen’s characters to life amongst 124 minutes of laughter and love.
