An 11-year-old Gru (Steve Carrell – Despicable Me) dreams of somehow becoming part of the Vicious 6! They are the baddest of the bad; having an assortment of colourful villains he admires, including disco chick, Belle Bottom (Taraji P Henson – Hidden Figures), and Nordic roller-skating strongman Svengeance (Dolph Lungren - Expendables).
After their leader falls out of a plane, they’re looking for a much younger replacement and Gru thinks he’s ideal. However, things don’t go as planned in his interview, and instead of becoming their leader, he becomes their mortal enemy! Now, all that can save him is his new fuzzy friends, armed with only their wits, and hastily-learnt martial arts skills. A recipe for disaster, and hilarity!
This film is full of the goofy slapstick and madcap humour you’ve come to expect from the adorable Gru groupies! If you enjoyed the first Minions, this is definitely worth a watch.
