Barbarian

I won’t lie – there are some interesting screenplay choices, such as a massive change of pacing bang in the middle of the story and a tone that tends to (deliberately?) flip-flop. But for the most part Cregger’s delivery, in my opinion, is rather uncomplicated. His stylistic elements are simple, well-executed, and complemented by an effective score from Anna Drubic, allowing Cregger to hold suspense exactly when he needs to and deliver a picture that should definitely have you peeking at the screen through your fingers.
