Review:

Danny DeVito’s 1996 adaptation of Matilda was a childhood classic for me. I feel like everybody’s life was changed somewhat by Pam Ferris’ depiction of the pigtail-swinging primary school headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. In 2011, the musical version of the much-loved story, penned by Tim Minchin, debuted on the West End. Its genius lyrics, over the top characterizations and swinging sets make for an incredible spectacle. Matilda the Musical is set to wow audiences by bringing the magic of the stage version onto the big screen, and I cannot wait to see it.
