Review:

Following the exquisitely romantic Call Me By Your Name and the dark and violent Suspiria would be a tricky task for the best of directors, and yet Luca Guadagnino achieves it admirably, blending the best elements of each into Bones and All – a poetic mix of horror and romance, described (rather uniquely) as a coming-of-age romantic cannibal road movie. Maren (Taylor Russell), a young woman learning how to survive on the margins of society, meets fellow lost soul (and cannibal) Lee (Timothée Chalamet). In between their cannibalistic binges unfolds a story of first love, and a liberating odyssey of two young people searching for identity in a world which fears them. Beautiful and heart-wrenching, this is one to sink your teeth into.
