Review:

The latest Disney offering, directed by Don Hall (Moana), brings us environmental activism, Disney’s first gay teenage character, and a lot of very odd creatures. Set in – you guessed it – a pretty strange world called Avalonia, we watch a family of explorers plus some bizarre animal sidekicks navigate an uncharted and treacherous land, and discover that its seemingly miraculous plant-based fuel source has dire environmental consequences. Strange World is not only a milestone for cinema representation – it’s also visually stunning, incredibly engaging, and a lot of fun!
