Review:

From the makers of “From Dusk Till Dawn and Desperado” comes one of the best horror/sci-fi films of the nineties. If you liked films liked “Scream” then this is definitely the film to watch. Its been co produced by Robert Rodriguz and the Screammeister, Kevin Williamson to create what’s been called The Breakfast Club meets Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Williamson, in particular, can do no wrong where the box-office is concerned: His Scream, Scream 2, and I Know What You Did Last Summer, with their barrage of pop-culture references and fabulously cute casts, are credited with revitalising the horror/comedy genre.

Like so many schools today, Herrington High School is just like any other stereotypical American high school, which has passed its prime. Its walls are grimy, its textbooks outdated and its teachers burned out. Yet through its corridors pass the future of America - you’ve got your geeks, your jocks, your leaders, your slackers, your nobodies, and everyone else. But that’s what it should be like; - like teenagers everywhere, they struggle with parents who don’t get it, teachers who never had it and hormones that won’t quit, plus the usual adolescent teenage confusion about life. But the students at Herrington High face a greater challenge - saving the world from alien domination. Aliens have begun converting the faculty and working their way down the ladder to the students. There is one group who figures somethings not right and are determined to find out what’s up. What ends up happening is an all out war between faculty and the student body.

The faculty - its funny and scary all at the same time. It has a GREAT cast, which stars Josh Hartnett (Halloween H20) plus a whole host of up and coming stars. The faulty members are equally good, especially Robert Patrick (Terminator 2) who plays the football coach. This film is fast moving, action packed, and keeps you on the edge of your seat as you try to figure out who’s been got to - or not. What more can I say - go see it, if you dare!!!!
