Review:

Although this film may seem like it came out in the 2000/early 2010s, Strays is a new film in the classic, ahem, adorable genre of dog comedy films. With director Josh Greenbaum at the helm, whose previous work includes TV comedies like Fresh off the Boat and New Girl, along with writer Dan Perrault (who created American Vandal and Players) this is certainly going to be a hilarious watch with such talented creators involved. Not only does this film boast a skilled directing and writing team, but also a stacked all-star cast with many modern comedy greats in starring roles. The cast includes Will Ferrell, Jamie Foxx, Isla Fisher, Randall Park, Josh Gad, Rob Riggle, Brett Gelman, and Sofia Vergara, just to name a few. With so many loved comedy actors and actresses there are plenty of great performances to look forward to, and with them all together this is bound to be a hysterical watch. The plot follows a Border Terrier called Reggie (Will Ferrell) after he is abandoned by his hateful owner Doug (Will Forte). Feeling hurt and angry about being abandoned, he teams up with a variety of other stray dogs, including a Boston Terrier called Bug (Jamie Foxx), an Australian Shepherd called Maggie (Isla Fisher), and a Great Dane called Hunter (Randall Park), as they all work together to get revenge on Doug. What follows is plenty of slapstick humour and sweet moments which will make for a really fun film.
