Review:

Some film series get increasingly ridiculous when they have so many sequels (not pointing any fingers at a certain series that went from street racing to cars in space) but the Mission: Impossible series has always managed to avoid jumping the shark. Their ability to innovate and develop a seemingly simple spy series has led to a whole host of great films, and this is certainly no exception.

The film follows Impossible Mission Force member Ethan Hunt, played by a sixty-one-year-old Tom Cruise (who continues to make me believe he is just a vampire), as he attempts to shut down a rogue AI called ‘The Entity’. What ensues is an action-packed spy film with a slew of fight scenes and breathtaking action set pieces. There’s a whole host of great stunts which have now become the standard for the Mission Impossible series, with a key one this time being a motorcycle jump off a cliff that transitions to a skydive, which as usual Tom Cruise did for real. There’s plenty to look forward to, and this film will be an absolute blast from start to finish!
