Whether you have never heard of Quentin Dupieux in your life or you are his biggest fan, one thing is for sure; you are going to have no idea what to expect from Smoking Causes Coughing. Marketed as a superhero parody, that barely scratches the surface of what the film is. In fact, actually watching it doesn’t reveal much more. It’s just an incredibly weird film – which manages to contain everything from exploding monsters to talking seafood, with some romance and spooky stories along the way – and you aren’t going to see anything else like it in a cinema anytime soon.
