Solaris
Review:
Solaris has a long-standing legacy in the science-fiction field and it’s not hard to see why. Based on the novels by Stanisław Lem, the film follows psychologist Kelvin’s (Donatas Banionis) inquiry into a team of astronauts’ descent into madness after a chain of inexplicable events in outer space. The mystery and beauty of Tarkovsky’s film has left it with an incredible amount of praise from critics, who describe it as a thought-provoking and truly “transcendental” cinematic experience that you won’t want to miss.
