Review:

Sumotherhood has a remarkable air of mystery surrounding it – the IMDB tagline has been ‘Plot under wraps’ since it was announced, and beyond a 2-minute trailer we’ve got almost nothing to go off. So what _do_ we know about it? Well, it’s leaning towards a parody of urban action-comedies (a particular niche for its director, who’s previously starred in (and won BAFTAs for) a fair few films from the genre), following Riko and Kane, who’ve got a £15k debt to clear and some fairly unique methods of doing it. There’s cameos – not just any cameos, but cameos from none other than Ed Sheeran and Jeremy Corbyn (I often find it’s best not to question these things). Genuinely funny and written with a deep affection for the genre it parodies, behind Sumotherhood's mysterious origins could lay a true British gem!
