This is a remake of the classic Hitchcock thriller; Dial 'M' for murder, and while not being an exact copy, it is influenced heavily by the 1954 film. Emily Bradford (Paltrow) is married to Steven Taylor (Douglas), a highly successful wealthy businessman. Steven, knowing that she has a lover, blackmails artist, David Shaw (Mortenson), her jealous and younger lover to kill her, but when Emily is attacked she manages to fend off and kill her assailant. Each of them with a hidden secret, which will lead to unexpected consequences.
