Review:

Despicable Me 4 welcomes a new member to the family, Gru Jr. who has a favourite parent and it definitely isn’t his namesake. After being targeted by the recently escaped human-cockroach villain, Maxime Le Mal, the family is forced to take on new identities and move to the town of Mayflower. Their new neighbours are the Prescotts, a pair of upper class, Country Club attending parents and their teen daughter Poppy, an aspiring villainess. Meanwhile the minions have been taken in by the AVL (Anti-Villain League) and are being trained for the new mega minion initiative, which does not go as smoothly as planned. Sometimes it's good to just watch something that doesn't require much concentration, have a laugh, and connect with your inner child who saw the first Despicable Me back in 2010. Watching this film with a crowd to laugh at the stupid jokes makes it so much better, although I did find myself laughing the loudest at points even with an audience full of children. And of course, a Despicable Me movie is not complete without a banging song from Pharrell.
