FREE FOR MEMBERS: Paddington in Peru

2014’s Paddington stole everyone’s heart with its new iteration of the exceedingly polite, marmalade-loving bear, and its 2017 sequel, Paddington 2, is arguably one of the greatest films ever made (Citizen Kane, who?). Now, Paddington and the Brown family return for an all-new adventure, travelling to Peru to visit Paddington’s Aunt Lucy, who has moved to the Home for Retired Bears. But when they arrive to find she has vanished, they must set off into the depths of the Amazon to find her.

This new entry takes us out of Paddington’s adopted London home while maintaining the heart that won us all over in 2014 and 2017. As well as this, it adds stars such as Antonio Banderas and Olivia Colman (who, I am assured by Paddington superfans, was born to be in one of these movies) to an already stellar cast of Paddington mainstays — where can you go wrong? Whether you’re a Paddington fan, a casual viewer, or new to the series entirely, this is the perfect film to relax with before Term 2 really gets going, and a great way to kick off our new schedule.
