We Live in Time
Every minute counts
Another A24 banger hitting the UK in January, We Live in Time is set to be the biggest tear-jerker of the year. Starring two of the biggest names in English acting, Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield grace our screens in this beautiful story directed by John Crowley. The non-linear style of storytelling in this film is reminiscent of that in one of my favourite movies, Arrival. The way the story falls into place gradually as you bear witness to pieces of their lives across the decade looks to serve for a strong emotional ride. Whilst not exactly a tragedy, nor a romcom neither, the themes of We Live in Time are a potent mix which explore the horrors and humours that make up life. You’ll definitely want to bring tissues for this one as I’m anticipating a communal cry in L3.
